The new story trailer has me on the edge of my seat. For now, it seems our team—us Proxies, the new Agent Promeia, and our upgraded buddy Billy—are all working together. But the stream hinted heavily that this alliance might be built on shaky ground. The line "a righteous knight must always shoulder the duty of keeping their allies in check" sent chills down my spine. It sounds like TOPS, including figures like Krampus and even Promeia herself, might not be as trustworthy as they seem. Our Proxy powers are becoming a double-edged sword, growing stronger but also more unstable. And as we dig deeper into Ramiel's true plans, secrets about Helios are bound to surface. What does Helios really mean? Is it salvation or something else entirely? The preview even teased our next possible destination: the Celestial Nexus, Roscaelifer. The mysteries are piling up!

Speaking of mysteries, the biggest one revolves around Ramiel, or should I say, Remielle Dan? Who is she really? What's her connection to Helios, and is she the key to saving us Proxies from our spiraling power? I guess we'll have to play through the new main story in 2.8 to find those answers. Promeia is finally here, and she's an S-Rank Ice Anomaly Agent from the Krampus Compliance Authority. She's not playing around. Her kit is all about control and devastating bloom effects. Here’s what she can do:

• She unleashes her power by casting off the restraints on her hands.

• Her attacks build up Corrosive Chill. When other Agents trigger Freeze, Disorder, or the new Vortex state, she gets more Chill too.

• Accumulated Chill converts into Trial by Cold points. Spend these points with certain skills to trigger Abloom on enemies with Attribute Anomalies, which also grants extra Decibels!

• Her cape isn't just for style! She can throw it out to slash enemies. While it's out, she can slow-walk and will automatically trigger a Perfect Dodge if attacked. How cool is that?

• Her EX Special is a spectacle: she hurls throwing knives and her cape, then enters the Bound Absolution state with an Absolute Order effect. If you're attacked during this, she quickly darts behind the enemy. Talk about a counter-attack!

And then there's Starlight Billy—or as we all call him, Silly! Our favorite mech is getting an S-Rank upgrade as a Physical Rupture Agent, and it's everything I hoped for.

• His attacks have a wider range now. 🎯

• He can summon his motorcycle to ram into enemies! This special attack consumes his HP if he's healthy enough.

• His damage scales with his Max HP, and all his Physical DMG is Sheer DMG.

• Some skills can restore his HP, keeping him in the fight.

• The best part? If he's attacked while summoning his bike, he'll automatically block and counter with a motorcycle uppercut! If you have energy during this counter, you can press EX Special again for a combo attack with his arm cannon. He also gets damage buffs with certain squad specialties.

Of course, past Agents are returning too! During 2.8, you'll also have a chance to pull for:

• Phase 1: Lucia and her Signature W-Engine.

• Phase 2: Orphie & Magus and her Signature W-Engine.

And for the fashion-conscious Proxy, there's a stunning new outfit coming to the shop: Hoshimi Miyabi's "Dignified Blossom." It looks absolutely regal.

The update isn't just about characters and story; there's a whole slate of new events to dive into:

This one sounds hilarious and fun. Our Bangboo pal Eous lost a Truth or Dare, swallowed a chip, and now believes it's an employee of Bootopia—a theme park for Bangboo vacations! We'll explore Marcel Bootopia as Eous, rescuing trapped Bangboo and opening chests for treasures that boost Eous's combat power. We have to beat up Ethereals and get to the clockout location on time. The reward for participating? The new A-Rank Bangboo, Booltergeist!

📖 "Spirit" Artist’s Notebook

On the other side of town, the Bane of Evil needs our help. We'll act as assistants, tracking down the city's most wanted criminals.

⚖️ Ultimate Verdict Trial

Miss Promeia herself has a special mission requiring Phaethon's help. We get to fight alongside the Krampus judge in themed stages for both Alliance and Special Offensive modes.

👻 A Look into Ridu’s Legends

Yuzuha and Alice from Spook Shack have set up a booth at Lumina Square. We need to help visitors by uncovering the truth behind paranormal incidents, paying close attention to subtle clues in their stories.

Plus, Advanced Bounty: Area Patrol and Combat Simulation are having double drop events again. Sweet!

Version 2.8 also brings some significant gameplay additions and changes:

• New Enemy & Wind Anomaly State: A new enemy introduces the Wind Anomaly state. In this state, inflicting anomalies won't trigger Disorder but a new effect called Vortex. The Wind state persists even after Vortex triggers, and Abloom works as usual. Some older enemies will get Wind weakness or resistance.

• New A-Rank Bangboo – Booltergeist: This ghostly Bangboo floats and fires laser beams from its eyes! With certain Agents in the squad, its attacks can get a big damage boost.

• New cosmetics like Agent avatars, trust events, and dynamic wallpapers.

• Shiyu Defense modes continue with new challenges.

And here are some fantastic optimizations coming:

1. Polychrome Guide: A new feature that tracks your progress in collecting both version-limited and permanent Polychromes. No more guessing!

2. Game Package Management: You can now choose to download just the base game resources or the full package. There's also a new setting to auto-delete unwanted resources, saving precious storage space.
